Our greatest opportunity is still ahead, Galveston. We’ve laid the ground-work and progressed steadily toward our goal of a renewed city. In less than 24 short months, our efforts have turned the wheels of change toward a once in a lifetime revitalization of our city. Witness, for example, the “Clean Team,” new city management, Seawall improvements, and eradication of blight and poverty. But the hard work is far from over— it has only just begun. That’s why I need your help now more than ever.

I promised you leadership, and that means making tough decisions daily and delivering on a compelling vision— a vision of Galveston that makes us proud. To continue delivering on my promise to you, I am running for re-election on May 12, 2012.  And I am asking you to run with me.
